A Proven Love

This post is part of the weekly 5-minute Friday Link-Up

This week’s word is “PROVE”.  And go…

God has proven His love for me, His absolute faithfulness to me, in undeniable and unmistakeable ways. When I look back over my life, I am overwhelmed with how He has watched over me, sustained me and shown His love to me. He has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that I can trust Him with my life.

He even gives us an open invitation to prove Him in His Word -

Malachi 3:10 ASV - “Bring the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and PROVE me now herewith, says Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

It is one thing to have a friend who says they are there for you. But it is another thing to have proven friends who have shown themselves to be faithful friends, present and active in your toughest times in life. Those are the friends whom you know you can count on to be a solid support and reliable resource.

I’m incredibly grateful to have some people in my community who are proven friends. And that is the kind of friend God has been to me.

She likes to lie on my favorite fuzzy red blanket I brought with me.  While I was holed up in the house today, I decided to start a blog. After looking around online, I decided to check out Blogger. To my surprise, someone with the blogger name "Prose Angel" was associated with my Google account and had posted two blogs! When I clicked on the posts, memories washed over me as I saw the two blog entries I posted 4 and 1/2 years ago and then completely forgot about!  I re...
